Spousal Support
Spousal support can involve numerous factors, such as, the length of marriage , the age and health of the parties, the skill levels of the parties, and present and past income of the parties. The main factor is: does the other party have the ability to pay spousal support?
The parties may agree to the amount and duration of spousal support. Although, in some cases, parties even agree to a lump-sum buyout.If the parties do not reach in agreement, which is common, the court will make orders for the amount and length of spousal support.
